Clinical Social Worker, Therapist
About Nicole

I am a Master of Social Work–trained therapist with over seven years of experience supporting youth and families across mental health, crisis services, and community-based care.
My background includes helping young people and caregivers navigate emotional stress, behavioral concerns, family conflict, school-related challenges, and major life transitions. I have also worked extensively with military families, giving me a deep understanding of the unique stressors children and teens may face related to relocation, deployment, and family adjustment.
My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and developmentally appropriate.
With children and adolescents, building trust and safety comes first. I use age-appropriate strategies that may include skill-building, emotional regulation tools, supportive conversation, and collaborative problem-solving.
With teens and young adults, we focus on managing anxiety, identity development, peer and relationship stress, academic or work pressures, and growing independence.
I believe parents and caregivers are essential partners in the therapeutic process. I work with families to improve communication, reduce conflict, and better understand the emotional needs behind behaviors.
Together, we build tools that support both the child and the family system, creating change that lasts beyond the therapy room.
Deborah Meisel, MSW, LICSW, LCSW-C, is Nicole's direct supervisor at TMA.
